Who They Are:

They are Nick and Diane Modock and have been in the travel and tour industry for more than 52 years combined. Nick and his late wife started as Janick Tours in 1972 in Lakewood. They were quite successful and when she was diagnosed with a terminal illness, Nick redirecting his personal plans to care for her by putting the business on the back burner. Nick occasionally offered tours to large groups. Fast forward a few years to when Nick met Diane, who had extensive industry knowledge and who had lost her husband very suddenly. They eventually married and upon Nick's retirement from RTA in 2007, they started their travel venture as North Ridge Tours. They originally served Lorain, Cuyahoga, Medina, Erie, Huron, Summit, and Ashland counties. Since COVID, they have expanded to include Geauga, Lake and Ashtabula counties. They're tours are design to fit the needs of the more selective traveler who want to explore new horizons. Our "Traveling Partners" have become "Dear Friends". Each of them are unique, having different needs, likes and traveling appetites. Occasionally "Off the Menu" meal stops are part of a tour. This allows for our Traveling Partners to choose a meal to their liking.


Their One Day Trips are designed with the opportunity to fully experience each destinations fully. Your total enjoyment and relaxation is their main objective. Being retired and operating out of our home they are their own office staff and offer you personel attention to your travel needs.


They do not accept credit cards and by so doing, they pass on those savings along to their traveling friends. Make your reservations at least two months in advance. This allows them to operate the trips without having to cancel. Early reservations is a great assistance as they must make deposits and reservations with participating agents for meals, touring, lodging and motor coach transportation.
